“At Green World, We Care. We Share.”

Mandela Day is a reminder to all of us that we each have the power to make a difference. This year, the Green World South Africa Johannesburg team decided to make that difference felt through a heartfelt food donation drive to two amazing orphanages: Mother of Peace Community in Randburg and Maria Orphanage in Boksburg.

First Stop: Mother of Peace Community

Our morning began at the Mother of Peace Community, a warm and welcoming orphanage home to many beautiful children. The excitement on their faces as we arrived was unforgettable. We were honored to meet the founder of the organization, who shared inspiring stories of hope, love, and resilience.

We delivered essential groceries — rice, cooking oil, canned goods, fresh fruits, and more. We shared laughs, songs, and lots of joy. The children were not just healthy — they were full of life, grateful for the visit, and happy to connect with people who care. It was a reminder of how powerful love and kindness can be.

Second Stop: Maria Orphanage, Boksburg

Later in the day, we made our way to Maria Orphanage in Boksburg. There, we were greeted by energetic children who welcomed us with big smiles and open hearts.

We handed out food parcels and spent quality time with the little ones. Some danced, some sang, others just wanted hugs — but they all left a mark on our hearts. Seeing their joy was the biggest reward of the day.
